Is The Next Pope A Black ? Shocking Secrets Leak On The Pope’s Successor Hours After His Death

Speculation about Pope Francis’ successor has begun following his death. Cardinal Robert Sarah is emerging as a potential candidate.

Following the demise of Pope Francis on April 21, 2025, speculation has already begun about who will succeed him as the next pontiff. The next pope could come from regions like Africa, Italy, Sri Lanka, or even America, with many experts predicting that the next leader of the Catholic Church will likely bring the institution back to the ideological centre.

Among the names gaining attention is Cardinal Robert Sarah, who is also trending on social media platforms as a potential candidate to lead the Church.

Netizens on social media speculate that Sarah has the “potential” to be the next Pope. One user wrote on X, “NB: Cardinal Robert Sarah does not turn 80 until June 15. He will therefore be an influential participant in the conclave.”

A second user wrote, “The next Pope will be Black. Cardinal Robert Sarah is a strong candidate.” A third user wrote, “Cardinal Robert Sarah, Our hope.”

Meanwhile, Before the Pope’s death, The doctors had implored him to ease his schedule and avoid the crowds to stave off infection. Pope Francis agreed up to a point – but it was simply not in his nature to comply fully.

After all, there were benedictions to bestow, babies to bless, prisoners to comfort. As far as the pontiff was concerned, God’s work never stopped – not even if you were 88 and recovering from a near-fatal bout of double pneumonia.

And so, towards the end of Holy Week, the Pope was more visible than at any time since his discharge from Rome’s Agostino Gemelli Hospital on March 23, where he had undergone five weeks of intensive treatment, his life on the line for much of that time. He had allowed himself a convalescence of less than a month. The doctors had recommended two.
