NRM Members From Adjumani, Moyo, and Obongi Endorse Calvin Echodu for Eastern Uganda Vice Chairperson

NRM members from the districts of Adjumani, Moyo, and Obongi have shown strong support for David Calvin Echodu to become the NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda.

At a regional meeting, Joyce Bacho, a representative from the Women’s League in Moyo District, said Echodu brings fresh energy that the party needs. She said this energy matches President Yoweri Museveni’s goal of strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

“What I like about Echodu is his plan to refresh the party. This is something the President has wanted for a long time. We now need strong NRM branches in our communities,” Bacho said.

She also said the Central Executive Committee (CEC), which makes important decisions for the party, needs new energy. She believes Echodu is the right person to bring that change.

Echodu shared that his campaign is focused on helping district-level NRM structures. He wants to give them the support they need, like transport and other resources, to reach more people and grow the party.

“My goal is to bring new energy to the NRM, build strong district teams, and attract new members,” Echodu said. “I will work closely with local leaders to make sure this happens.”

Many delegates supported his ideas and said the Eastern Region needs a leader who is active and includes everyone. His slogan, “New Energy to the Party,” is becoming well-liked by NRM members in the area.

The competition for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda is expected to be tough. More members are asking for fresh leadership that understands the current needs of the party.

A youth delegate from Obongi said, “David Calvin Echodu has the energy that President Museveni and the NRM need. To keep the party strong, we need leaders who act, not just talk.”
