Mawerere Isaac Doka!! Rising with Purpose for Eastern Uganda’s Youth
In an era when many young people in Uganda feel overlooked and unheard, Mawerere Isaac Doka is stepping forward with a bold message: it’s time for leadership that listens, understands, and takes action. As a candidate for Youth Member of Parliament for Eastern Uganda, Mawerere is not just promising change he’s living it. His life, experience, and vision reflect a deep commitment to serving youth and building a future grounded in opportunity, empowerment, and dignity.
Born and raised in Kamuli District, Mawerere’s background mirrors that of many youth in the region. He grew up in a humble home and attended local schools, including Bupadhengo Primary School, Merryland High School Entebbe, and Hilton High School Mukono. His academic journey eventually led him to Makerere University, where he studied Community Psychology and Mental Health a field he chose because of his desire to address the growing mental and emotional struggles facing young people today, challenges that often go unnoticed in the political arena.
Mawerere is more than a student of theory he’s a man of action. As an entrepreneur, he serves as Managing Director of Miles Funeral Services, a business that supports grieving families while creating employment for youth. As a farmer, he actively cultivates coffee and raises livestock, using agriculture to demonstrate the potential for young people to achieve independence and success through hard work and innovation.
His leadership experience also includes serving as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Uganda Railways Corporation in 2022–2023. This role gave him firsthand insight into how government institutions function. Despite the prestige of this position, Mawerere made the bold decision to step down choosing instead to focus full-time on community work, business development, and youth advocacy.
His campaign is centered on real issues affecting young people across Eastern Uganda. His platform includes expanding access to education and vocational training, supporting youth-led businesses, creating jobs through innovation and agriculture, promoting mental health awareness, and demanding transparency in youth-targeted programs. His vision is not about politics as usual—it’s about leadership that delivers.
“What our youth need isn’t more promises. They need leaders who show up, speak up, and build with them,” Mawerere says.
What truly sets Mawerere apart is his connection to the people. He’s not a distant politician—he’s a member of the community. He listens, engages, and walks the same path as those he hopes to represent. Whether it’s a young girl fighting to stay in school, a recent graduate seeking employment, or a youth quietly battling mental health struggles—Mawerere sees them, understands them, and is committed to standing with them.
He is not in the race for fame or titles. Mawerere Isaac Doka is running so that the youth of Eastern Uganda can finally feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As the region prepares for the next Youth MP elections, Mawerere stands out as a servant leader one who blends passion with purpose, and action with integrity. He represents a new kind of leadership: honest, practical, and rooted in the lives of the people.
Mawerere Isaac Doka is more than a candidate. He is a voice of hope for a generation that refuses to be forgotten.
