Kiconco Brenda Declares Candidacy for NRM Youth League National Chairperson, Vows to Empower Uganda’s Youth

KAMPALA, Uganda – A dynamic new voice has emerged in Uganda’s political landscape as Kiconco Brenda officially announced her aspiration for the position of National Chairperson of the NRM Youth League.

Kiconco, with a background rooted in grassroots leadership, is advocating for a significant shift in youth engagement, urging young Ugandans to transition from passive observation to active leadership within the ruling party.

In a powerful declaration, Kiconco articulated her vision for a vibrant and impactful youth wing.

“From the village youth chairperson to every youth leader— from the grassroots to the digital frontier— the time has come for our voices not just to echo, but to lead,” she stated emphatically.

Her campaign is centered on “igniting power, purpose, and progress within Uganda’s youth structures,” promising a departure from rhetoric to tangible results.

“It’s time to shift from empty promises to actionable programs, from watching from the sidelines to taking the steering wheel.”

Kiconco Brenda emphasized the importance of embodying the core tenets of the NRM, not merely as slogans, but as practical guiding principles. She called upon fellow youth to truly live the NRM spirit by making “PATRIOTISM practical, PAN-AFRICANISM purposeful, DEMOCRACY inclusive, and SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION visible and real in our communities.”

Her platform resonates with a desire to see the party’s ideology translate into tangible benefits for the youth at every level.

Her appeal extends beyond just securing votes; it’s a call for collective action and unity.
“Let us rise—from LC1 to the national table. This is our turn. This is our time. This is our voice,” Kiconco declared, highlighting the numerical strength of Uganda’s youth population.

Recognizing that numbers alone are insufficient without direction, she added, “We are 75% of Uganda, but numbers without unity are like arrows without direction.”

Kiconco Brenda is not just asking for support, but for partnership. “So I’m not just asking for your vote—I’m asking you to walk with me, village by village, with vision, integrity, and courage,” she urged.

Her campaign promises to usher in a new era of leadership and purpose within the NRM Youth League, aiming to collectively “write the next chapter of the NRM—together. For our generation.”

Her candidacy marks a significant moment for youth engagement within the NRM, promising a campaign focused on empowerment, practical solutions, and collective progress.
