Kabanda Was So Close To Anita Among And Even Ballooned Her House Maids – Ex MP Leaks Shocking Secrets

KAMPALA, Uganda — Fresh cracks have emerged within political camps linked to Uganda’s upcoming parliamentary leadership battles after former Zombo District Woman MP aspirant Afoyochan Esther launched a blistering public attack against Kasambya County MP Daudi Kabanda, accusing him of hypocrisy, manipulation, blackmail and exploiting his close ties with Speaker Anita Annet Among for personal and political survival.

In a fiery and emotionally charged TikTok video that quickly circulated across Ugandan social media platforms, Esther accused Kabanda of allegedly positioning himself as the gatekeeper to Speaker Among while sidelining other politicians and loyal supporters seeking access to her.

The outspoken former parliamentary aspirant described Kabanda as a “fraudster,” claiming he cultivated influence around the Speaker while pretending to defend her political interests.

“If you had never met someone bad in this country, I want to introduce you to one Daudi Kabanda,” Esther declared during the lengthy online outburst, accusing the legislator of monopolising access to Among and isolating her from allies within political circles.

Her explosive remarks come at a politically sensitive moment as tensions continue to intensify within the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), a pressure group closely associated with Chief of Defence Forces Muhoozi Kainerugaba, ahead of the highly anticipated contests for leadership positions in the 12th Parliament.

The latest public fallout is expected to deepen speculation about widening divisions inside political factions aligned to the ruling establishment, particularly over the future control of Parliament and the Speakership race.

Esther specifically criticised Kabanda over his recent role in publicly reading a PLU statement announcing the withdrawal of support for Speaker Among. According to her, the move raised serious questions within the organisation because Kabanda was not officially designated to communicate such a sensitive position on behalf of the pressure group.

“The issue is not even the withdrawal itself. My problem is that it should never have been Kabanda reading that statement,” she said.

She argued that the responsibility should have been left to the organisation’s official spokesperson rather than Kabanda, whom she portrayed as someone who had long operated as Among’s trusted insider and political favourite.

In one of the most controversial parts of her remarks, Esther alleged that Kabanda exercised extraordinary influence around the Speaker’s inner circle and frequently spent extended periods at Among’s residence in Kololo.

“Among fed you. You [Kabanda] used to have breakfast, eat lunch and super at the speaker’s house in Kololo, you even impregnated some of her casual workers,” she alleged during the video tirade.

The allegations, which could not be independently verified, have already triggered intense debate online, with supporters and critics from rival political camps clashing over the claims.

Esther further accused Kabanda of allegedly using the name of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to pressure Members of Parliament into supporting positions aligned with PLU interests.

“He called MPs telling them to sign, threatening them with removal from positions and claiming it was the stand of PLU,” she claimed.

According to Esther, several legislators were allegedly intimidated into backing certain political positions for fear of losing influence or parliamentary opportunities.

She also claimed that President Yoweri Museveni had at one point rejected Kabanda’s proposed appointment to a parliamentary commission, allegedly describing him as a “fraudster.” The claim has not been officially confirmed by State House.

The former aspirant went on to accuse Kabanda of benefiting extensively from Speaker Among’s political and financial support before allegedly turning against her as internal political rivalries intensified.

“What did Anita ever do to you other than support you?” Esther asked.

She alleged that Kabanda enjoyed access to privileges facilitated through his association with the Speaker, including the use of a government vehicle and other benefits tied to political proximity and influence.

Esther also accused the legislator of fueling divisions among Members of Parliament and manipulating political processes to secure his own survival within shifting political alliances.

“There is no MP Anita has not supported in the constituency, but some of us were undermined because of blackmail,” she said.

The increasingly public exchanges underscore growing fractures within political camps linked to the forthcoming parliamentary leadership contests, with rival factions now openly trading accusations in public as competition for influence intensifies.

Political analysts say the latest confrontation reflects broader tensions emerging within groups associated with the ruling establishment, where loyalty, access to power, and control of parliamentary structures are becoming central issues ahead of the next phase of Uganda’s political transition.

Efforts to obtain a response from Kabanda were not immediately successful by press time.
