A fatal stabbing in Kira Municipality has left a Ministry of Local Government employee dead, with police pointing to a suspected love triangle that spiraled into violence after an overnight domestic dispute.

The deceased, identified as Omaido Moses, 44, was a resident of Kamuli A Zone in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District. Authorities say the incident occurred in the early hours of March 26, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., inside his rented apartment.

According to a police incident report filed at Kireka Police Station under reference Kireka CRB 115/2026, the chain of events began the previous evening, March 25, at around 8:00 p.m. Investigators say Oliver Agadi, described as Omaido’s current girlfriend, arrived at his home and allegedly found another woman already there. The second woman, identified as Aliya, is believed to have been Omaido’s former partner.

“The current girlfriend alleges that it was Aliya who stabbed Omaido Moses,” the police report states.

Preliminary findings indicate that both women spent the night at the residence under unusual circumstances. Detectives say Aliya allegedly slept in the bedroom with Omaido, while Agadi Oliver remained in the sitting room.

Police further report that tensions escalated the following morning as Omaido was preparing to leave for work. Aliya allegedly attempted to prevent him from leaving, leading to a confrontation.

“This led to an argument between the two, which escalated into a violent confrontation,” the police report reads.

Agadi Oliver, who is now in police custody to assist with investigations, told officers she was in the bathroom at the time of the incident and did not witness the attack.

“When she came out of the bathroom, she saw blood coming from the bedroom, but both individuals were no longer in the house,” according to police.

Authorities say Omaido, despite sustaining serious injuries, managed to move out of the house. His body was later discovered along a path leading from the residence, lying in a pool of blood.

Investigators confirmed that the deceased suffered a stab wound to the lower front part of the neck, near the chest. His body has since been transported to City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Police have opened a murder case by stabbing under SD Ref. 08/26/3/2026. Officers say the crime scene has been examined and documented, and witness statements have been recorded as part of the ongoing inquiry.

So far, one suspect, Agadi Oliver, has been arrested to aid investigations, while Aliya is reported to have fled and remains at large.

Police say inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
