DRAMA! Pastor’s Wife Arrested Inside Lodge With House Boy After Sneaking Off With Market Money

RUKIGA – A massive wave of shock and disbelief has swept through Muhanga Town Council after a prominent clergyman’s wife was busted and detained inside a local lodging facility following an alleged secret lovers’ tryst.

The suspect, 37-year-old Evidence Orishaba, is the wife of Pastor George Nafayo of the Reformers Church (Abagorozi). She was apprehended by police on Thursday, June 25, at the popular Vision Jointex Bar and Lodge in Kakatunda Trading Centre, located right along the busy Kabale–Ntungamo Highway.
The incident has quickly become the biggest talking point in the region, drawing massive crowds and sparking furious debates online and offline.

According to local sources, the drama began earlier in the day when Pastor Nafayo gave his wife money meant to buy new clothes for their five children at the Bukinda weekly market.

However, instead of heading to the market stalls, Orishaba allegedly diverted the funds to book a room at the lodge. Tip-offs from eagle-eyed residents alerted the pastor that his wife had been seen entering the lodge with another man.

Wasting no time, Pastor Nafayo mobilized officers from the Bukinda Police Station and an angry group of residents before storming the establishment. While they successfully caught the pastor’s wife inside the room, her unidentified male companion managed a narrow escape, fleeing the scene just seconds before law enforcement breached the door.

“I gave her money for our five children’s clothes. Instead, she used it to book a room for adultery,” a devastated Pastor Nafayo told onlookers.

This shocking confrontation appears to be the breaking point of a deeply troubled marriage. Pastor Nafayo claimed he has endured years of heartbreak and infidelity, which he says have completely ruined the family’s finances. He revealed that he was previously forced to sell a piece of land worth Shs19 million just to rescue one of their collapsing businesses.

The plot thickens as police confirm they are analyzing mobile phones recovered from the scene. The pastor alleges the devices contain damning audio recordings and chat logs explicitly coordinating clandestine meetings with multiple men.

When cornered and interrogated by authorities, Orishaba admitted to booking and entering the lodge room but strongly denied committing any adultery.
In a surprising twist, she defended her actions by blaming her husband’s constant paranoia. She claimed that she had grown completely frustrated and emotionally exhausted by his non-stop accusations of unfaithfulness, implying her actions were a reaction to his lack of trust.

Julius Tisasira, the LC I Chairperson of Butoore Village, confirmed that this was not a new fight. Local leaders have tried to arbitrate and resolve the couple’s intense domestic disputes on at least three different occasions in the past.

Orishaba remains in tight police custody as investigations continue. By press time, official criminal charges had not yet been formally announced, as detectives hunt for the mysterious man who fled.
The story has completely taken over local social media platforms, dividing public opinion. While many condemn the betrayal of a religious leader, others are calling for patience, urging the community to wait for the official police report before passing final judgment on the family.
