SHUT UP! Why Muhoozi Kainerugaba Is Set To Fire Nameere As Minister , What Really Happened
Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned Junior Local Government Minister Justine Nameere that she could face removal from Cabinet if concerns about her conduct persist.
Muhoozi issued the warning on Tuesday morning in a post on his X account, where he suggested that disciplinary action could be taken if the minister is found to have engaged in misconduct.
“If Nameere is misbehaving, it’s a very simple problem. We shall remove her from the Cabinet. That’s a very simple thing,” Muhoozi wrote.
The unusually direct warning has placed fresh attention on Nameere, whose recent activities have reportedly generated discussion within political circles and among supporters of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).
The comments come against the backdrop of reports that Nameere sought to organise a celebration for former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among. The reported initiative has attracted scrutiny, with questions being raised about the minister’s conduct and the political implications of such an event.

Although Muhoozi did not provide detailed information about what specific conduct he considered problematic, his statement made clear that he regarded alleged misconduct by a Cabinet minister as an issue that could warrant serious disciplinary consequences.
The warning also underscores the increasingly public nature of disagreements and political scrutiny surrounding government officials and their activities.
Nameere, who serves as the Junior Minister for Local Government, is part of the government leadership structure and has been involved in political and public activities in her capacity as a minister.
Muhoozi’s intervention is likely to fuel further debate over the reported celebration for Among, particularly because the former Speaker remains a prominent figure in Uganda’s political landscape.
The reported plans surrounding the celebration have drawn attention beyond the immediate participants, with Muhoozi’s remarks now adding a new dimension to the controversy.
His statement was categorical, presenting Cabinet removal as a straightforward disciplinary option should allegations of misconduct be established.

“If Nameere is misbehaving, it’s a very simple problem. We shall remove her from the Cabinet. That’s a very simple thing,” he reiterated in his Tuesday morning message.
The comments have since raised questions about whether the minister could face any formal disciplinary action or whether the warning was intended primarily as a public caution.
For now, Muhoozi has not announced that Nameere has been removed from Cabinet, nor did his post specify any formal disciplinary process against her. His remarks instead appeared to signal that continued concerns over her conduct could have consequences for her position.
The episode comes at a time when political figures and government officials are facing heightened public scrutiny over their statements, alliances and activities.
For Nameere, the warning places renewed focus on her role in the reported efforts to celebrate Among and on whether the controversy will result in any further political action.
The minister has not, in the statement cited here, been reported as having responded publicly to Muhoozi’s warning.
The developments also highlight the influence of public statements by senior political and security figures, particularly when they concern serving members of Cabinet.
As debate continues over the reported celebration and Nameere’s involvement, attention is likely to remain focused on whether the minister will respond to the warning and whether any formal action will follow.
