Calvin Echodu Nominated for NRM Vice Chairperson Position in Eastern Uganda

In a major development within the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Mr. Calvin Echodu has officially been nominated to contest for the position of Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda. The NRM Electoral Commission confirmed the nomination earlier today, placing Mr. Echodu firmly in the spotlight as the race for regional leadership begins.

Following the announcement, Mr. Echodu expressed deep appreciation for the widespread support he has received, particularly from grassroots communities that have been instrumental in his journey.

“This nomination is not just about me,” he said. “It is a reflection of the collective hope and determination of the people who want to see leadership that delivers, listens, and leads with integrity. I am ready to serve.”

Mr. Echodu emphasized that his campaign will be anchored in unity, service, and tangible action. He pledged to bring forward a leadership style that is consultative, inclusive, and rooted in real community needs.

He also took the opportunity to congratulate NRM Party Chairman and President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for once again availing himself to lead both the party and the nation. Mr. Echodu praised the President’s steadfast leadership and called on fellow NRM members to remain united in advancing Uganda’s development agenda.

Quoting Helen Keller, he remarked, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” underscoring the collaborative spirit of his campaign.

With strong public support and a forward-looking vision, Calvin Echodu’s nomination marks the beginning of what many view as a new and promising chapter for Eastern Uganda. As his campaign picks up pace, all eyes are on how he will translate his message into meaningful impact for the region.
