Big Win!! Tsekululu Leaders Back Journalist Bwayo Emma for Namisindwa LCV Seat

Local leaders from Tsekululu Sub-county in the Buwabwala region of Namisindwa District have officially endorsed veteran journalist and community leader Bwayo Emma for the District LCV chairperson seat. The endorsement came with a strong pledge to protect his votes in the upcoming NRM primaries.

The announcement was made during a thanksgiving ceremony hosted by Bwayo Bosco, the newly elected NRM chairperson of Tsekululu Sub-county. Held at the Sub-county hall, the event gathered all LC1 chairpersons, NRM village leaders from 90 villages, and executives from the parish and sub-county levels—demonstrating unified support from one of the district’s largest administrative units.

During his remarks, Bwayo Bosco described Emma Bwayo as a “God-sent leader,” praising his intelligence, reliability, and close connection to the community. He affirmed that, since Bwayo hails from their own Buwabwala region, local leaders would stand firmly by him and defend his votes. The declaration drew loud cheers from the audience.

Joseph Wateya, a leader from Musola Village, called for heightened vigilance, warning that some senior NRM officials and registrars have previously interfered in the electoral process. He urged fellow leaders to remain alert and work together to ensure that the primaries are conducted fairly and transparently.

In response, Bwayo Emma expressed heartfelt appreciation for the endorsement. He promised to lead with honesty, openness, and a commitment to serving the people. He also addressed concerns about electoral malpractice, pledging to work closely with fellow candidates and security officials to safeguard the integrity of the vote. “The people’s voice must be honored,” he emphasized.

Bwayo currently serves as the Male Youth Councillor for Namisindwa District and works as the Marketing and Business Development Manager at Elgon FM. He recently picked up nomination forms, officially entering the race for the LCV chairperson seat.
