REVEALED!! Molly Katanga Suffers another Major Blow in Court as New Evidence Spell Doom in Her Case

A police ballistics expert has testified that it is highly improbable that Molly Katanga fired the gun that killed her husband, Henry Katanga.

The expert, identified as Nasawali, appeared as the 11th witness for the prosecution in the ongoing Katanga murder trial. Under cross-examination before High Court Judge Comfort Kania, defense attorney Elison Karuhanga questioned whether Henry Katanga could have shot himself.

Nasawali admitted that he could not dismiss the possibility of suicide, stating there was no definitive evidence proving otherwise.

Earlier, Nasawali confirmed that only one bullet was fired on the day of Henry Katanga’s death. Karuhanga argued that if another individual had fired the gun, it would have been more likely that multiple bullets were discharged.

Challenging the expert, Karuhanga asked, “With no other bullets fired, can you conclusively rule out suicide?” In response, Nasawali conceded, “I do not have enough information to determine whether this was a suicide or a homicide.”

A key issue in the case is Molly Katanga’s physical condition at the time of the shooting. Nasawali verified that she had suffered fractures in both arms and broken index fingers. He emphasized that firing a gun under such conditions would be highly improbable unless the individual had advanced training, which Molly did not.

The defense also raised concerns regarding the forensic evidence. The toxicology report was deemed inconclusive, and Nasawali acknowledged that gunpowder residue found in some samples could have come from sources such as perfumes, nail polish, lotions, or gloves.

Additionally, the defense challenged the reliability of forensic testing, arguing that the gunpowder residue analysis did not align with the 2023 crime scene procedure manual. Further inconsistencies emerged in forensic results, particularly with swabs labeled M2 and M3, which, despite being expected to produce identical outcomes, showed differing results.

Following these revelations, the prosecution requested an adjournment to reassess their witness. The trial is set to resume tomorrow as both parties prepare for the next phase of proceedings.
