Murder Over Shs 2,000!! Matugga Traditional Healer Stabbed to Death by Close Friend

Authorities in Matugga are probing the fatal stabbing of 45-year-old traditional healer Bisobolwa Isa, who was killed in the early hours of May 8, 2025, in Kito Cell.

Initial investigations indicate that the incident involved 18-year-old Mutyaba Richard, a young man who had been living with Bisobolwa. The fatal confrontation is believed to have been sparked by a dispute over Shs 2,000. Witnesses reported that the two had spent the previous evening drinking together at Mama Naka Bar and showed no visible signs of conflict.

Violence erupted around 1:20 AM after they returned home. During the altercation, Mutyaba allegedly stabbed Bisobolwa twice—once in the neck and once in the abdomen—with a sharp object. The injuries proved fatal.

Bisobolwa was rushed to Wanda Health Centre but was declared dead upon arrival.

Police quickly responded to the scene, initiated a murder investigation, gathered evidence, and transferred the body to Mulago Mortuary for a postmortem.

Mutyaba fled immediately after the incident and remains at large. Law enforcement is actively searching for him and has urged the public to provide any information that could aid in his arrest.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed the incident and assured the public that investigations are ongoing.

The Kito Cell community is reeling from the tragedy, struggling to come to terms with how a minor disagreement turned deadly.
