“Living Free in God’s Image” A Message of Hope from Pastor Richard Ssemanda
This Sunday, Pastor Richard Ssemanda of Tidori Ministries Uganda delivered a powerful and uplifting message to the nation and the world. His words went beyond the walls of the church, serving as a profound reminder of who we are and what we were created for.
“God is our Father who cares for us all,” Pastor Richard shared. “As His children, made in His image, we are called to live freely according to His will and for His glory.”
In a time when many are overwhelmed by life’s pressures and uncertainties, Pastor Richard’s message brings us back to the foundational truth: we are not here by chance. Each person is uniquely crafted in the image of a loving God who deeply cares for every soul. Citing 1 Peter 5:7, he reminded listeners: “Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
This message resonates deeply, particularly in a world that often chases after success, wealth, or influence. Pastor Richard calls believers to pause and rediscover their purpose—not in worldly achievements, but in living the life God intended: one of peace, righteousness, and truth.
“Real freedom,” he explains, “is not doing whatever we want. It’s found in doing what we were created for—bringing glory to our Creator.”
He describes God’s way as a natural, beautiful life—a life filled with meaning and anchored in divine love. “When we walk in His will,” Pastor Richard said during his Sunday preparations, “we find true joy—not in possessions, but in the assurance that we are loved, guided, and protected by our heavenly Father.”
Referencing Jesus’ words from Matthew 10:28–31, he emphasized our worth in God’s eyes:
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father… Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
This passage, Pastor Richard says, perfectly reflects God’s intimate knowledge of our lives—right down to the number of hairs on our heads. We are never forgotten.
For weeks, Pastor Richard has been emphasizing a key message: Uganda’s greatest need is not physical resources, but spiritual revival. That revival, he insists, begins within each heart. “Transformation starts when we remember our identity in Christ and return to God with sincerity,” he continues.
He also shared a comforting reminder from Psalm 23:1–2:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
Through Tidori Ministries Uganda—which stands for “Time to Do Right”—Pastor Richard continues to speak life, hope, and direction to individuals and families across the country. His message this Sunday was clear: it’s time to remember who we are, whose we are, and why we are here.
“No matter your past, your status, or your struggles,” he encouraged, “you are made in God’s image. He longs for you to live freely in His will and for His glory.”
As people gathered in person at Tidori Prayer Chambers and tuned in online, Pastor Richard’s message rang out with truth and hope:
You are God’s child, created in His image, called to live in His love, and destined to reflect His glory.
