Painful Experience!! Farida Nakazibwe Reveals Why She Stopped Working At NTV – How She Was Tortured

Respected media personality Farida Nakazibwe has finally opened up about the heartfelt reasons behind her decision to step away from television in October 2023, bringing to a close a remarkable career that spanned nearly two decades at the Serena-based NTV Uganda.

For months, the celebrated journalist kept her reasons private, leaving fans and viewers wondering why one of the country’s most admired TV hosts had suddenly chosen to leave the screen.

However, Farida has now revealed that her decision was deeply personal and rooted in emotional exhaustion caused by her long-running and beloved show, Mwasuze Mutya.

According to Nakazibwe, the nature of the program—centered on real-life experiences, emotional interviews, and often heartbreaking stories—gradually took a toll on her mental and emotional well-being.

“For the last two years, I felt drained. The stories I used to air on Mwasuze Mutya really affected me. It was extremely exhausting, and many left me vulnerable,” she revealed in an interview with a local TV station.

Over time, she found herself absorbing the pain and struggles of the people she interviewed. Each emotional confession, each tearful story, left a lasting mark on her heart. Despite her calm demeanor and professionalism on screen, she admits that the burden became too heavy to carry.

In addition to the emotional fatigue, Nakazibwe explained that she wanted to take a well-deserved break from the public eye. After years of living under the spotlight, she felt an overwhelming need to rediscover herself away from the cameras and focus on her personal life.

“I wanted to live a private life away from employment and dedicate time to my kids,” she added.

This decision, though difficult, reflects a side of Farida that many admire—her self-awareness and ability to prioritize her mental health and family over fame.

She has expressed immense gratitude to her fans, colleagues, and the viewers who supported her throughout her journey, noting that their love and encouragement have meant the world to her.

Even after leaving television, Nakazibwe’s influence continues to be felt. Her name remains synonymous with integrity, grace, and professionalism in Ugandan media. She has inspired a generation of young journalists, especially women, to pursue their dreams with confidence and compassion.

Farida Nakazibwe may have stepped away from the newsroom, but her legacy continues to shine brightly. Her story is a reminder that sometimes, walking away from something you love is not about giving up—it’s about choosing peace, balance, and a life that truly nourishes the soul.
