I grew up in Mbale, Uganda, in a small village where everyone knew one another. For as long as I can remember, it felt like trouble followed me everywhere. No matter how hard I worked, how often I prayed, or how many times I tried to start afresh, things always fell apart. I would begin a small business, and within months it would collapse. In 2022, my life hit its lowest point. I invested all my savings into selling clothes at the market, but within three months, it was all gone. My goods were stolen, and a few days later, I fell sick for weeks without any clear diagnosis. I began to believe I was cursed.
