Balaam Made Fake DNA Tests!! Alleged Children of Paul Kafeero Reject DNA Results, Appeal to Museveni for Fresh Tests

Paul Kafeero And His Look Alike Child

A section of individuals who had claimed to be biological children of the late Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Kafeero have rejected the recently released DNA test results that ruled out most of them as his offspring, and are now appealing to President Yoweri Museveni to intervene in the matter.

The group, speaking after the results became public, said they cannot accept the findings, arguing that they have grown up believing that Kafeero was their biological father and that their mothers had consistently identified the legendary singer as their parent.

The DNA tests, which had been conducted to settle long-standing questions surrounding Kafeero’s paternity claims, reportedly established that only four individuals were biologically related to the deceased singer. The majority of those who had presented themselves as his children were excluded by the scientific tests.

However, some of those who were ruled out have expressed dissatisfaction with the process and have demanded that another round of testing be conducted.

“We have known Paul Kafeero as our father all our lives. Our mothers never introduced us to any other man apart from him. We cannot simply accept these results without further verification,” one of the affected individuals said.

The group has now appealed directly to President Museveni, asking him to oversee a fresh DNA exercise that they believe would provide greater transparency and restore confidence in the process.

According to them, the issue goes beyond inheritance or public recognition and touches on personal identity and family history. Some said the results have left them emotionally devastated because they have spent decades identifying themselves as Kafeero’s children.

The DNA exercise was initiated after numerous individuals came forward over the years claiming to have been fathered by the celebrated singer. The claims had generated widespread public interest, with many Ugandans eager to know the true number of Kafeero’s biological children.

Paul Kafeero remains one of Uganda’s most celebrated Kadongo Kamu musicians. During his career, he built a massive following and became known for his storytelling style of music and memorable songs that continue to enjoy popularity years after his death.

The singer, who died in 2007, was also known to have had relationships with several women, a factor that contributed to the numerous paternity claims that emerged after his passing.

For nearly two decades, questions surrounding his children remained unresolved, with various individuals publicly asserting that they were his sons and daughters. The DNA exercise was therefore seen by many as an opportunity to establish the truth once and for all.

However, the release of the results appears to have opened a new chapter of controversy rather than bringing the matter to a complete conclusion.

Family members and legal experts have noted that DNA testing is internationally recognised as one of the most reliable scientific methods for establishing biological relationships. Nevertheless, some of the individuals who were excluded insist that they deserve another opportunity to verify the findings through a second independent test.

As of Thursday, neither President Museveni nor government officials had publicly commented on the appeal for fresh DNA testing.

The controversy has sparked widespread debate on social media, with some Ugandans urging the affected individuals to accept the scientific findings while others have sympathised with their emotional attachment to the late singer and supported calls for an independent retest.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has joined many Ugandans in expressing surprise and skepticism following the release of DNA results intended to establish the biological children of the late Kadongo Kamu icon Paul Kafeero.

The DNA findings, which were unveiled on Thursday at the Uganda Police Headquarters in Naguru, revealed that only four out of the 25 individuals who had claimed to be children of the celebrated musician were confirmed as his biological offspring.

While acknowledging and respecting the scientific process behind DNA testing, Tayebwa admitted that he found it hard to reconcile the results with the apparent physical similarities.

“I do not doubt science but if this gentleman is not Paul Kafeero’s son then we might need to do DNA of our parents when they’re still alive. Cheeiiiii!!!!” Tayebwa wrote on social media while tagging Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara.
