SAD!! Former Minister Breaks Down as He Reveals Illness That Killed His Daughter, Racheal
Former minister Nsaba Buturo has broken his silence on the death of his daughter, Racheal Ainembabazi Buturo, offering a deeply emotional account of the illness that ultimately claimed her life and brought profound grief to his family.
Speaking to close associates and family members, Buturo revealed that Racheal, aged 28, had been battling a serious medical condition that began subtly but grew more severe with time. According to him, his daughter initially complained of persistent and unusual headaches—symptoms that were later traced to a tumour developing in her brain.
“Something was going on in her body,” Buturo said. “She had a tumour that kept developing.”
The former minister explained that what first appeared to be ordinary headaches gradually intensified, signaling a more serious underlying condition. Despite seeking medical attention, Racheal’s health continued to deteriorate as the tumour progressed, eventually overwhelming her young body. Her passing has shocked many, particularly given her age, vibrant personality and promising professional future.
Earlier reports had suggested that Racheal may have suffered from a severe migraine. However, the family has since clarified that the headaches were symptoms of a brain tumour, which later led to serious complications and her untimely death.
Racheal was a Marketing Assistant at Housing Finance Bank, where she was based at the head office in Kololo. The bank paid glowing tribute to her, describing her as a hardworking, ambitious and collaborative staff member who left a lasting impression on colleagues during her time there. Friends and co-workers recall her as driven, warm and committed to excellence in her work.

News of her death sparked an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, corporate institutions, colleagues and members of the public. Messages of sympathy flooded social media and private channels, with many expressing disbelief and sorrow over the sudden loss of a young professional whose life was full of promise.
As the family continues to come to terms with the tragedy, burial arrangements for Racheal Ainembabazi Buturo are currently underway. Family members, friends and well-wishers are preparing to gather to pay their final respects and celebrate a life that ended far too soon.
Nsaba Buturo thanked those who have stood with the family during this painful period and appealed for continued prayers. He described Racheal as a loving, promising and vibrant young woman whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
