St. Mary’s College Mayenze Unveils Life-Changing Scholarship Drive To Empower Talented Ugandan Learners

St. Mary’s College Mayenze has launched an ambitious scholarship programme aimed at giving talented, hardworking, and disciplined Ugandan students a greater opportunity to access quality education despite financial challenges faced by their families.

Through the new initiative, the school will offer a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees to students who demonstrate exceptional ability in academics, sports, and other areas of talent. The programme is designed to identify promising learners and support them in achieving their educational goals.
The school has also created special opportunities for outstanding Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) candidates. Pupils who score between aggregates 4 and 14 will qualify for bursary support, a move aimed at rewarding academic excellence and encouraging learners to continue working hard.

In an effort to promote responsible financial planning among parents, St. Mary’s College Mayenze has introduced a two percent discount for parents who clear school fees within the first two weeks of the term. The incentive is expected to ease financial pressure while encouraging timely payment of school fees.

Students who achieve remarkable academic results will also be recognised under the programme. Learners who obtain seven or more distinctions will receive either a cash reward of UGX 50,000 or partial sponsorship towards their tuition fees as a motivation for continued excellence.
The school has further extended support to vulnerable learners, with students who have lost their fathers receiving a 50 percent fee reduction, while those who have lost their mothers will benefit from a 25 percent discount to help them remain in school during difficult times.
Beyond academics, the institution says it remains committed to nurturing students’ character through spiritual and moral development programmes, including daily prayers, Holy Mass, and Scripture Union fellowships aimed at producing responsible and values-driven citizens.

With a focus on quality learning, student welfare, and leadership development, St. Mary’s College Mayenze says the scholarship initiative reflects its commitment to raising future leaders by ensuring that more young Ugandans have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
