“We Don’t Know Where Bobi Wine Is” — Mikie Wine Speaks as Military Tightens Grip on Family Homes

Mikie Wine has disclosed that he is completely unaware of the whereabouts of his brother, opposition leader Bobi Wine, amid escalating security deployments that continue to unsettle their family.

In a tense revelation, Mikie said the family remains gripped by fear as soldiers have reportedly been deployed not only at Bobi Wine’s home in Magere but also at his own residence.

According to him, the growing military presence has created an atmosphere of constant anxiety, leaving family members shaken and unsure of what might happen next.

Mikie narrated that on the night security forces allegedly raided Bobi Wine’s home and assaulted his wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, he made an effort to reach the premises to check on them.

However, his attempt was cut short when he was intercepted by a combined force of military and police officers before he could access the residence.

The experience, he said, was deeply traumatic and has left lasting emotional scars on the family. Speaking with visible distress, Mikie explained that the events of that night were too painful to fully recount, particularly given the emotional toll they have taken on Barbie Kyagulanyi and the children.

“I don’t even want to talk about the bad things they did to her because it’s shameful, and how bad her children felt — and also Bobi Wine, wherever he is. Even us, we still feel sad about it,” Mikie said.

Beyond the physical presence of soldiers, Mikie further alleged that surveillance around their homes has intensified. He claimed that a drone has been routinely monitoring Bobi Wine’s residence before moving toward his own home, noting that the two compounds are located close to each other.

According to Mikie, the drone activity caused widespread panic throughout the night, forcing the family to remain awake as the aircraft hovered repeatedly near their compound, its presence both intimidating and unsettling.

“We lost sleep last night. The drone was making noise near our shed, and when our askari tried to record it, the drone would fly upwards and switch off the lights,” he added.

The continued deployment of security forces and alleged surveillance has heightened concerns among family members and supporters, raising questions about safety, privacy, and the emotional well-being of those affected as uncertainty continues to surround Bobi Wine’s situation.
