Zaake Father Bribes EC To Deregister NPP Mityana South MP Candidate

There is boiling tension in Mityana South after the area municipality MP’s father Mzee Emmanuel Ssembuusi Butebi bribed the district Electoral Commission Officials to deregister the National Peasants Party candidate for Mityana South constituency.

Ssenabulya Steven who is holding the NPP flag is in tears after Mzee Emmanuel Ssembuusi Butebi, the father to Mityana Municipality MP Zaake Francis paid UGX 50m to influence the EC officials into dropping him out of the race.

“I have glaring evidence that Mzee Ssembuusi paid money to kick me out of the race but I’ll not be shaken. Why does he fear competition this much?,” wondered Ssenabulya. “If I’m not a strong candidate why then are they fighting to kick me out? This is very shameful. What business does Zaake’s father have with the EC officials? Isn’t that enough to prove that he is still using his NRM ties to fight people in genuine opposition?,” he wondered more.

It should be remembered that recently Zaake’s father bribed EC officials to fraudulently nominate NUP woman MP candidate Nabbosa Prossy Mukisa who did not have sufficient academic credentials to back her legislative bid. Zaake and his father reportedly spent UGX 70m to bribe EC officials to nominate Nabbosa according to a source familiar with the matter.
