BREAKING: EC rejects NUP Mityana woman MP over lacking academic credentials

News hitting our desk from Mityana District indicate that the National Unity Platform party candidate Proscovia Mukisa has not been nominated.

Officials at the Mityana District Electoral Commission have confirmed the development declaring that “Proscovia Mukisa does not satisfy the academic requirements” and that she “did not submit the equivalent of UACE two months before nomination” as required by the law.

The Mityana EC official who spoke to this publication via phone says “it is true she only has UCE” but not the required UACE or its equivalent.

It should be recalled that Nabbosa recently featured ina controversial TV interview that exposed her intellectual bankruptcy when she failed to articulate the roles of a Member of Parliament.
