“Salim Saleh Is The Only One With Sense In That Family, Museveni Is Aged & The Son Brags About Killing & Torturing Ugandans” Bobi Wine Fumes
Opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has sharply criticized President Yoweri Museveni and his family, calling out their behavior during a recent campaign rally. Speaking to supporters, he painted a picture of what he described as dangerous leadership within the ruling family.
Bobi Wine singled out Gen. Salim Saleh, saying he is the only reasonable member in the Museveni family. According to Bobi Wine, Salim is the only one capable of making wise decisions and guiding the president toward a peaceful transition of power.
“In that family, you are the only reasonable one. Museveni is too old he doesn’t even know what year it is. And the son look at how he behaves. He boasts about killing our people; he boasts about torturing our people. You see how they kidnap our people and torture our brothers,” Bobi Wine said.

The opposition leader accused the president of being too aged to govern effectively, highlighting what he believes is a disconnect between the president and the realities faced by ordinary Ugandans.
Bobi Wine also criticized Museveni’s son, alleging that he publicly boasts about violence against citizens. He claimed that such behavior contributes to a culture of fear and oppression in the country.
“The son brags about killing and torturing Ugandans,” Bobi Wine added, portraying the next generation of leadership in the ruling family as dangerous and ruthless.
These remarks come amid growing political tension in Uganda as the country prepares for the 2026 elections. Bobi Wine’s statements reflect mounting frustration with the ruling family and the desire for a peaceful leadership change.
Supporters at the rally reacted strongly, showing both concern and anger over the alleged abuses. Bobi Wine’s comments were aimed at raising awareness of what he perceives as a culture of impunity within the ruling family.
Political analysts suggest that Bobi Wine is trying to separate Gen. Salim from the rest of the family to appeal to moderates and signal that there may still be reason within the ruling circle. By highlighting Salim’s supposed rationality, Bobi Wine frames a potential path toward negotiation.

As Uganda’s political landscape heats up, Bobi Wine’s statements serve both as a warning to the ruling family and as a rallying cry for citizens who seek accountability. His message emphasizes the need for vigilance and action to protect the rights of Ugandans.
