“I slaughtered people in jail and now they were coming to haunt me at night in form of ghosts” Kenyan ex-prison officer narrates

Joseph (not his real name) opened up about his dark past, revealing how he used to execute inmates while working in prison. He retired from the service at the age of 60. He explained that before the government abolished the death penalty, his role was to hang prisoners, something he carried out without fear.

As a result of this job, he now struggles with sleepless nights, claiming the faces of those he executed keep haunting him. He said he had witnessed nearly 20 people die but insisted he had no choice because it was part of his work. The 65-year-old added that these terrifying images only began tormenting him after he left the job.

Joseph also confessed that he has attempted suicide several times to escape the spirits, but nothing has worked. He fears the ghosts will not only continue tormenting him but may also follow his family and affect future generations.TO READ MORE, TAP HERE
